Male Stabbed in Tauranga

At 2.49am this morning a male was taken to the emergency department at Tauranga Hospital with stab wounds to his chest.

The injuries occurred at a scene away from the hospital.

The male is currently undergoing surgery.

His condition is considered very serious by medical staff.

Police are following positive lines of enquiry.
