Visitors have just three more days to see the best Art in the Woolshed exhibition that the Tawharanui Open Sanctuary Society Inc (TOSSI) has ever hosted.

The biennial event, which raises funds for the Tawharanui Open Sanctuary, closes this Sunday (18 March) at 4pm. Entry is free and art lovers can enjoy a wide range of sculptures, paintings and ceramics by talented New Zealand artists against the backdrop of stunning Tawharanui Regional Park.

Event organiser and long-time TOSSI volunteer Alison Stanes says people are saying that this exhibition is the best ever.

"We have a splendid show, that is bigger and better than ever before, and celebrates the work of 70 very talented artists.

"Fine weather is forecast over the next few days, making a trip to Tawharanui a perfect weekend day trip. Soak up some art, support the open sanctuary and finish your day with a walk in the park," she says.

Art in the Woolshed 2012 celebrates a very successful 10 year partnership between the Auckland Council and community group TOSSI. During this time ten species have been re-introduced to the sanctuary. Artworks are for sale and funds raised during the exhibition will support restoration projects at Tawharanui
