Police search for missing Whangarei man

Police are looking for an 81-year-old man who is missing from a rest home in Whangärei.

Mervyn Baucke, a resident of Potter Home, was last seen at 10am yesterday. He is described as 1.7m tall, weighing 54kg and was wearing black rimmed glasses, grey trousers and a black sports jacket, with white panels and three black stripes across the panels.

Police Search and Rescue personnel and general duties staff along with Northland LandSAR volunteers are searching for Mr Baucke in the area around Potter Home on Bank Street and the Whangärei CBD.
