Yarrow Stadium Ready for Super 15 Match

Investigations continue this week on the best way to repair Yarrow Stadium’s storm-damaged roof.

During a wind storm on 20 March part of the stadium’s TSB Stand roof was ripped off.

“Workers have made the TSB Stand safe for the public for this Friday’s Super 15 Hurricanes match, but a small section of the southern bay of seats in that stand won’t have a roof overhead,” says Manager Recreation and Events Brent Thawley.

“We haven’t sold tickets to seats in that bay.”

Mr Thawley says the Council and its roofing contractor want to make sure the repairs to the stand are done as effectively and efficiently as possible.

“We’d rather have the right repair than a quick repair,” he says.
