"Our soldiers continue to acquit themselves magnificently and the New Zealand Provincial Reconstruction Team continues to do great work in Bamyan Province. An investigation into the circumstances of the incident is underway," Lieutenant General Jones said.

A media conference with further information will be held at Defence House, Wellington tomorrow (Wednesday) time to be advised. Until then no further comment will be made.
