Franklin Zoo - Fatal incident

Police were called to what is now a fatal incident between an elephant and its female keeper at the Franklin zoo shortly after 4.30pm this afternoon.

No further updates are available until next-of-kin have been notified.

This matter has been referred to the Coroners office.
