Bike crash

Police and emergency services are attending to a single bike accident on SH1 approx 3 kms north of Te Hana.

The motorbike has sustained extensive damage and the rider has been found in close proximity deceased.

Although the two lanes, north and southbound, are still open, traffic has been slowed right down.

The Serious Crash Unit is investigating as to the cause of the crash and Police are working to identify the rider.
