Reports on the record-breaking 1,829 submissions to NPDC’s Draft Long-Term Plan 2012-2022 are now live on the Council’s website.

Council officers have written 113 reports in 19 categories, ranging from parks to regulatory services to the financial strategy and rating system.

“These reports help collate the key points of the submissions we’ve received on various topics, and provide further information, options and recommendations for councillors to consider as part of their deliberations on the draft plan,” says Manager Corporate Strategy and Policy Maureen Crombie.

“We have made the reports available online so that people can read them before next week’s public hearings.”

Four days of hearings will begin next Tuesday (29 May), with members of the public speaking to their submissions.

The Council will then meet on Thursday 6 June to debate the draft plan and make their final decisions.
