Changes to Library Loans

From Sunday 1 July, the issue period for books will change to 3 weeks. You'll be able to renew your books once for another 3 weeks, for free - if they aren't already reserved by anyone else.

Even though most books are returned within 3 weeks, we're making this change so that items go back on the shelves sooner for other readers. All other items such as DVDs and CDs can also be renewed once for free from 1 July, but the normal rental fees will still apply for the extra time.

After the due date for all items, you'll have 2 more days to return them before we start charging overdue fees.
