NPDC's Website Goes Mobile

Do you need to check out some Council information while on the go?

New Plymouth District Council has made it easier with the launch of a mobile version of newplymouthnz.com.

“When people go to the Council’s website on their smartphones, it will automatically resize the pages and images to make the information easier to read,” says Manager Communications Nick Maybury.

“We have started with the sections of the website that our web stats show are already being accessed a lot by mobile devices – and we plan to add more in coming months.”

Currently the mobile website displays the Council A-Z, Events Calendar, maps and the attractions section.

“The text is identical to that on the full website; it’s just presented in a way that is easier to read on the smaller screens,” says Mr Maybury.
