WELLINGTON

Police in the Hutt Valley are looking for 43 year old Lance Kaiki, last seen in the Belmont Regional Park yesterday.

Detective Sergeant Nick Pritchard of the Hutt Valley CIB says Mr Kaiki was last seen around 2:20pm yesterday afternoon, when he went on a mountain bike ride through the Belmont Regional Park and has not been seen since.

"Search and Rescue staff have failed to locate Mr Kaiki or his bike anywhere in the area. He has not used his bank accounts or his cell phone since going missing and it is for these reasons that we fear for his safety."

Mr Kaiki is around 173 centimetres tall, of medium build with dark coloured hair. He was last seen wearing a green Kathmandu long sleeved top and blue jeans and white sports shoes. He also had a baby blue backpack with two shoulder straps, two pockets on either side, a pocket at the front and a normal zip compartment.

Mr Kaiki's bike is a Jamis brand, coloured blue in good condition.

Anyone with any information or sightings of Lance Kaiki should contact Police on (04) 560 2600 or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
