The Mayor, Mr John Tregidga has advised that a public memorial service, honouring Jordan Voudouris, will be held in Paeroa on Wednesday, 27 June 2012, at the Paeroa War Memorial Hall, Normanby Road Paeroa commencing at 12.00pm.

Jordan Voudouris was born on 23 June, 1956 and died (tragically) on 18 June 2012

The Mayor stated that the memorial service is open to the public.

The service will be conducted by the Paeroa Ministers Association representatives Reverend Heather Simpson and Pastor Bill Tissingh.

Mayor John Tregidga will speak on behalf of the Hauraki community.

“This service provides an opportunity for people not only to pay their respects to the memory of Jordan but also to show their support to the family at this difficult time for them” said the Mayor. The family will be having a service for Jordan in Auckland next Monday.

A book has been placed in the Council office for anyone that would like to register their condolences and will be presented to the family after the Wednesday service.

All media enquiries should be made to the Mayor. Media interested in attending must RSVP in advance and email Erin Wood at erin@hauraki-dc.govt.nz.
