Two rescued after dinghy capsizes near Foxton

Two people have been rescued from the sea about two kilometres off Foxton Beach this morning after their dinghy capsized.

Coast Guard rescued the pair after a concerned member of the public called police after seeing the group in the water.

The rescue was concluded by 7:15 this morning.

'This is another reminder about the value of life jackets when boating' said Insp Steve Darroch.
