Divers find body of missing hunter

Police have today retrieved the body of missing Ohaupo pig hunter Kevin Hayward.

The Police National Dive Squad found his body late this morning, on the bed of Lake Waipapa on the Waikato River, about 2 kilometres upstream from the Waipapa Dam, adjacent to where his clothes were found last Friday.

The death which is not suspicious has been referred to the Coroner.
