WELLINGTON CITY

Wellington Police are still looking for 31 year old Daniel Wiari who is wanted for breaching his parole conditions and failing to appear in Court.

Detective Sergeant Mike Priston of the Wellington CIB says Wiari is a patched gang member who had a warrant issued for his arrest by the Wellington District Court for failing to appear in late May.

"Daniel Thomson Wiari is aware Police are looking for him and has been actively avoiding us. We believe he is in the wider Whanganui area and want to hear from any family, friends or associates who may know his current whereabouts.

Police want to speak to Wiari in relation to a number of alleged residential burglaries in Wellington city earlier this year.

Wiari is a patched gang member and is described as Maori of medium build, around 181 to 185 centimetres in height. He is considered dangerous and should not be approached by members of the public.

Detective Sergeant Priston says, "If you do see Daniel Wiari or know his whereabouts we ask that you come forward and speak with us as soon as possible."

Anyone with any information should contact Wellington Police on (04) 381 2000 or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
