Road Closure / Vehicle Crash

Nogotaha Road just north of the SH5 intersection has been closed as emergency services deal with a vehicle crash that has left a power pole leaning across lanes.

One person has been taken to hospital with moderate to serious injuries as a result of the crash.

Diversions are in place along SH5 northbound onto Western Road.  It is not known how long it will take to reinstate the pole and clear the scene.

No information is available at present as to the circumstances leading to the crash.
