Stolen Vehicle Pursuit ends with three in custody

At about 6.05 pm this evening the police initiated a pursuit with a stolen vehicle in the Mangere area.

The pursuit lasted about 50 minutes during which time the Police Helicopter maintained a commentary while ground units were coordinated to contain the vehicle in the Mangere area.

The vehicle was spiked twice by police.

Following the spiking the vehicle continued for a considerable time until all wheels were down to rims.

The vehicle was eventually forced to stop by police. All three occupants were apprehended. No one was injured during the pursuit
