Four admitted to Tauranga Hospital following Te Puke stabbing

 "At about 9.45 pm Friday 27 July 2012 Police were called to a residential address in Te Puke, where they found 3 persons with stab wounds.

Police located a 4th male, who had been beaten with a hockey stick, at a second address.

All four persons were admitted to Tauranga Hospital with serious injuries.

Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner said a male remains in the intensive care unit, in a stable condition, whilst a second male remains on a general ward. A third victim has been discharged.

The fourth male, a 35 year old fruit picker has been charged with assault and has been remanded in custody to appear in the Tauranga District Court on Monday 30th July 2012.

The arrested male will face further charges when he appears in court on Monday.

Te Puke Police wish to speak to person who may have witnessed the assaults or otherwise have information that will assist the Police to piece together the events.
