Tree falls, injures one, closes off ramp

Police advise that the North Bound off ramp at Johnsonville/Porirua (Takapu Road) is closed due to fallen tree.

The off ramp will be closed for approx an hour as the Council clear the tree.

One person was injured when the tree fell, it is understood these injuries are not life threatening.

The person was undertaking work linked to road surveying at the time of this incident.

Detours are in place via Main Road and Willowbank Road.
