Road closed

Awhitu Rd in the Awhitu peninsula is blocked by a landslide.

Police, Fire and various other Agencies are working to clear the road up however, it is anticipated that the road will remain closed for the whole of today.

Diversions are set up at the intersection of Awhitu and Given Rd and Awhitu/Pollock Wharf Rd.

Motorists are here urged to stay away from this area.

Will advise when road opens up again.
