The final version of the Far North District Council's forward planning instrument, the Long Term Plan 2012-22, has now been posted for public scrutiny on the council’s website.
The plan, which documents the council's policies and intentions for the next 10 years, will not be subject to another comprehensive public review for three years.
However, the council will be further consulting on the proposed fairer rating system with affected groups this year.
If agreement is reached, the council can amend the plan through the 2013-14 Annual Plan process.
The plan can be downloaded from the web in its entirety or relevant chapters or sections of interest can be selected.
Public submissions to the plan are also posted on the website along with a summary of the decisions councillors made after deliberating over these submissions.
An audit opinion from the Office of the Auditor General is also included in the plan.
CD copies of the plan are available at council service centres.
Printed copies will be available next month.
