The Old Invercargill Show Grounds are undergoing extensive development to make way for a new industrial/commercial area.
Bond St is being extended to Beatrice St and the paper road is being reopened to join the Bond St extension.
Looking on a map you can see where the Beatrice St road Stops, this is where the new road will link up and come out from behind the wool stores.
ICC is taking submissions on the application to open the stopped road which is likley to increase the volume of heavy vehicles traveling down Beatrice St.
Beatrice St crubs and foot paths have undergone extensive upgrades in the last few month and are all but complete and awaiting consent for the new road.
