Plan ahead to ensure a hassle-free evening if you’re driving into the city to see mega-band Red Hot Chili Peppers at Auckland’s new arena this weekend.

If travelling from the North Shore on the Northern Motorway, use the new State Highway 1 North to State Highway 16 Port link and exit at the port or use the Fanshawe Street off-ramp for downtown car parks.

From the south, use the State Highway 1 Southern Motorway Port exit and continue to Beach Road via Stanley Street. From the west on State Highway 16 Northwestern Motorway, follow the State Highway 16 Port link.

There are 7,000 short-term car parks within 1.5km of the arena’s gates. Save time and money and car-pool with friends. Car parks closest to the venue include:

Auckland City Council’s Park Right Downtown car park (31 Customs Street West)
Fanshawe Street (72-100 Fanshawe Street)
Railway Station (Beach Road)
Britomart Place (Quay Street)
Customs Street (85 Customs Street East)
Viaduct (Sturdee Street)
Eden Crescent (cnr Eden Crescent and Short Street)
Shuttle buses will run between the Downtown car park and the arena continuously from 6.30pm until the concert starts. Shuttle services will also be available after the concert finishes.

Parking in the streets surrounding the arena is for short stays only. Please park considerately and respect private property.

If you’re dropping someone off at the event, use Quay Street or Beach Road. A new footbridge from Quay Street over the railway track delivers visitors to the front of the arena.

Mobility parking areas are at Te Taou Crescent. These car parks are reserved when a ticket is purchased. There is also a drop-off area on Quay Street.
