Police are searching for a 40-year-old Tutukaka woman who was last seen yesterday morning.

Natasha Veltman was last seen about 8.45am at her home address on Pacific Ridge, Tutukaka, north east of Whangärei.

She failed to keep a medical appointment yesterday and police have serious concerns for her safety.

Natasha is described as European, about 1.6m tall of medium to large build. She has straight blonde shoulder length hair and was wearing a grey sweat shirt, blue jeans and black 'skatey' style shoes. Natasha had no personal items on her at the time.

Northland Police Search and Rescue are currently looking for Natasha in the Tutukaka and Ngunguru area where she is still believed to be.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen Natasha to contact Whangärei Police on 09 430 4500 as soon as possible.

For media inquiries contact Northland Communications Manager Sarah Kennett on 09 430 4525 or 027 494 1214.
