Pedestrian struck by car in Leeston

4.50am Leeston Police and Police Serious Crash Unit are at High Street in Leeston which is the scene of serious crash where a car has struck a pedestrian.

The pedestrian is in a serious condition and has just been airlifted to Christchurch hospital by the Westpac helicoptor.

No details of the injured party are currently available except he is a male.
