Training hundreds of hours, attending competitions all over the North Island – our youth do just that, and sacrifice lots of free time to practice and give 200% on stage for their audience, their families, their coach, their team and themselves.

There are so many issues today that youth in general cannot control; separation of families, bullying, child abuse, and poverty.  With an alarming increase in youth suicide, we are committed to supporting and nurturing our dynamic and eccentric group.

A resounding message we hear from team members is “Performing is not about winning”.

Although Hysteria have won and come second in a number of competitions, you can never put a price on the confidence and pride our youth experience.

Urban Dance Hysteria have qualified as part of Team NZ at the FISAF International World Fitness and Hip Hop competition in Holland, EUROPE this October 2012.

The enormity of this event for our youth – is like going to the Olympics.  The opportunity to attend such a prestigious International event and to represent our country, is the ultimate honour.

Realising potential in our youth is not just about dance. It is about nurturing and fostering talents, creating more role models for our youth within our society, and supporting life time experiences that will produce extraordinary leaders for our future.

With the FISAF International World Fitness and Hip Hop competition only a matter of weeks away, we need the support of the community to make the trip a reality.

Up until now the team have been fundraising the old fashioned way with raffles, lotto raffles, battens ups, school discos, sausage sizzles, performances, food stalls and lots more.

To get Urban Dance Hysteria to the competitions they need $30,000 to cover flights, accommodation, meals, team NZ uniforms, competition fees, performing uniforms; this is needed before the 9th of October to ensure the necessary booking can be made.
