Car vs motorcycle ends with three in hospital

At approximately 5.30pm yesterday afternoon there was a serious accident involving a car and a motorcycle on SH 14 Tangiteroria.

The two motorcyclists and an occupant of the vehicle involved have very serious injuries and are described as Status 1.

Diversions were in place along SH 14 while an extensive scene examination is carried out.

Traffic was diverted into Patton Rd from SH 14 on the Whangarei side of the scene and traffic was being diverted into Kirikopuni Valley Road on the Dargaville side of the scene.

All threee victims have been airlifted to Whangarei Hospital.
