Members of the public are advised that Invercargill Airport is to hold its biannual emergency exercise at 2pm on Tuesday 25 September.

Airport Manager Chloe Scala said that the exercise would allow airport staff and emergency services to practice emergency response procedures in the event of an incident at Invercargill Airport.

“Members of the public should be aware that it is not a real emergency but an exercise and roads will remain open into the Airport complex throughout the drill.

“We thank members of the public for their cooperation and patience while we undertake the exercise, which is vital to ensure public safety,” Mrs Scala said.
