Pilot OK after emergency landing

UPDATE: SPECIAL REPORT: A small plane made an emergency landing this afternoon at Wanganui Airport after the planes landing gear failed to go down.

The plane circlled the airport runway to use up petrol before belly landing on a grass runway.

Emergency Services from New Plymouth have been canclelled. 

A full investigation will be underway shortly

Reports say the plane is damaged signafacntly, Fire service are trying to cool the plane down.
