The Mix Amped a youth radio show that has created better lifes for youth since it started around November last year is coming to an end.

The show which was created by Michael Riley and Iziah Willetts, Michael at the time 14, Iziah at the time 13, made The Mix as a youth show to create better youth famlies for Taranaki It started November, when Michael (14) decided he wanted to help his community by creating a voice for Taranaki youth, and that is what he did, he got together with Iziah Willetts and it started Mondays for thirty miniutes but as there show grew bigger the show changed to a full hour show every Thursday LIVE in the studio of Access Radio Taranaki.

Inspired by many The Mix changed there name to 'The Mix Amped', The Facebook page grew and they discovered just months ago that they were recieving listners from all over the world including Brazil, United Kingdom and even America. Michael told Dribble NZ exclusivly "It's great to know that we had listners from all the way over there, I am going to miss my communnity radio station."

The Mix Amped has there last show this evening at 4pm as Iziah Willetts (14, now) got a job "he is moving on to bigger and better things" said Michael.

Michael Riley then resigned knowing that Iziah was leaving, he wanted to focus on getting a job but also on his exams that are nearing, Michael told Dribble NZ News "I couldnt stay on a show thats for youth when my on side presenter who made youth come together with me leaves, it would be like half of the family leaving", "We will continue to keep our Facebook page updated, and will use it to keep in contact with our community"

Many Taranaki students from diffrent schools were asking the two presenters if they could take it over, but they told them we are unaware of that. "I'd love to come back, but I am focusing on me" Michael said

The Mix wont be coming back for quite sometime, so they are leaving the space open for 'there' other partner show, Tech Talk which airs a recorded show right after The Mix.

"I have had a blast on Access Radio, I made a new family, not just heaps of friends" he said, he added " We have all learnt off each other, and thats the main aspect"

"Today The Mix Amped airs for the last time with a full show, many guests have been invited so it is going to be a complete blast, hopefully one of the best shows"
