Paekakariki Hill Road - Road Blocked

Police advise that Paekakariki Hill Road is currently closed to traffic in both directions and ask that motorist find alternative routes.

The blockage has been caused by a B Train that has become wedged on a bend in the road after following GPS instructions that led the driver to Paekakariki Hill Road, which is unsuitable for a vehicle of that size.

It is anticipated that it will be some time before the road is open to traffic again.
