South Island struck by earthquake

DEVELOPING STORY: An earthquake has struck the Lower South Island at a depth of 0km, the earthquake was a magnitude 4.5 followed by a 4.6 at a depth of 5km and another 7 other earthquakes following the 4.6.

It has been felt in Queenstown,Wanaka,Wellington,Christchurch,Dunedin and many other places all over the South Island and lower North Island.

A resident told Dribble NZ News that "The earthquake gave me a shock"

Geo Net has not yet made a comment but as confirmed an earthquake has struck the lower South Island causing havick.
