Fatal Electrocution

At approximately 9:30 am Saturday 27 October 2012 a linesman working on electrical lines in Northern Southland was fatally electrocuted.

The deceased was Stuart Andrew KENNING aged 48 years of Mossburn, Southland.

Mr Kenning was one of two linesmen sent to repair a power line fault on a farm property on Waterloo Road 14 kilometers south west of Mossburn.

St John's Ambulance and Police attended the scene alone with Heath and Safety Inspectors from The Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment.

The death has been reported to the Coroner
