Opiki Rd, Horowhenua - Truck Crash

Emergency services are at the scene of a truck crash on Opiki Rd, State Highway 56 Horowhenua. This is just north of the intersection of State Highway 56 and 57.

The lanes are down to one lane due to emergency vehicles at the location.

Initial reports are that a milk tanker with a trailer unit has left the road and gone into a paddock and the trailer unit has over turned.

There are no reports of injuries.

The vehicle is laden with milk and fuel. With the possibility of leakage from the vehicle, precautions are being taken to contain the scene and minimise the impact on the environment.

It is unknown at this time the cause of the incident.
