Tag Team racing debuts on stunning Wellington day

Wellington City — Wellington turned on a simply perfect day and close to 900 triathletes (a record for the national champs) enjoyed the conditions in the final round of the Contact Tri Series, an event that doubled as the National Age Group Championships over the standard distance and provided a glimpse into the future of the sport.

Reed books NZ Beijing spot with Oceania victory

Wellington City — Blustery but warm conditions greeted triathletes in the ITU Oceania Triathlon Championships in Wellington today and it was Shane Reed (NZL) who mastered them best to take out the elite men’s race in a busy day of racing that also carried NZ Standard Distance titles and points for the final round of the Contact Energy My Sport Series.
