MANUKAU CITY

Counties Manukau detectives have concluded their investigation into the circumstances of the death of a 38 year old man at his home in Arrowsmith Drive, Manukau yesterday.

Police have released his details as Jian LIN, an unemployed Chinese National. He is survived by his wife and children who recently returned to China.

Police were called to the address by Ambulance officers who were called by another Chinese man who lived at the address.

LIN was deceased on their arrival. Enquiries have revealed he sustained serious internal and head injuries as a result of a fall from a building in Panmure at about 11pm on Thursday 22 November 2007. He was taken home by friends a short time later. A Post Mortem examination was carried out earlier today.

Enquiries are continuing to locate a further witness. 'We are satisfied there are no suspicious circumstances related to the fall and the matter will be referred to the Auckland Coroner' said the officer in charge, Detective Senior Sergeant Dave Pizzini of Counties Manukau CIB.

No further details will be released.
