Woman rescued after vehicle lost over bank

A woman whose vehicle was lost down a bank after an accident off State Highway Two was rescued by emergency services this morning near Eketahuna.

The women's vehicle was left in a precarious unstable position resting in scrub down a bank and she did not know where she was.

The accident occurred at 1:45 am ahd she was rescued at about 2:15am.

The police communicator guided emergency services to the scene after the women realised she had tripped her odometer at Eketahuna and was about 14 km from the town.

The communicator had emergency services guided to the car by the women who listened out for their sirens.

The woman was not injured.
