UPDATE: Fire now out

Up to 60 firefighter and 15 fire trucks were used to control a massive fire in the Auckland suburb Westmere tonight.

Emergency services were called to the West End Road property shortly before 8:30 which was under construction at the time. 

Neighbouring proprties were damaged in the fire. 

It was fear people were inside the house, but police confirmed everyone was accounted for. 

The blaze is now out and the scene will be guarded overnight and investigations will begin tomorrow.
