Which Cruise Holiday Provider Is Leading The Field In Organic Search? NZ SEO Reach
A new SEO industry report showing which cruise holiday providers are taking the lead in New Zealand organic search, including a consumer survey has just been released by FIRST.
By utilising their bespoke metric called RBR (Rankings Based Reach) FIRST revealed that global player Princess Cruises is leading the RBR, closely followed by P&O Cruises and quite behind on third position Lets Cruise.
The report shows that a lot of the analysed companies are trying to rank on prominent positions within search and that some of them heavily invest in paid search also, to dominate the first page with multiple listings. Moreover, global players also have a strong presence on the New Zealand market and sustained focus on different channels such as search, display, social media, e-mail marketing and investing in a robust digital marketing strategy will be a key cornerstone to drive revenue growth.
According to the 2013 cruise industry source market report, there was a significant increase of 23 per cent in passenger numbers from 2012 to 2013. These numbers are huge and reflect major opportunities for cruise holiday providers.
The consumer survey carried out by FIRST (by 3Di Research on the Great Sites Platform) also shows that the preferred destinations for most respondents are the South Pacific, Europe and Australia, closely followed by America and that price/offers and destination/stops are perceived as most important when booking a cruise.
Interestingly respondents who have booked a cruise already had a slightly different perception to the ones who are seeking to book a cruise holiday in the future. If you are interested in the full industry report and consumer survey you can download it at the FIRST website for free.
