In the Pink at Rangi Ruru for Love Week
Rangi Ruru Girls’ School last week celebrated the importance of positive relationships during their annual Love Week which kicked off on Wednesday 22 February.
Love Week celebrates one of Rangi Ruru’s five core values Aroha, bringing the Rangi Ruru community together to connect with each other and foster the core components of Aroha – love your friends, love your school and love yourself.
The celebration is led by Head of Community, Year 13 student Danielle Bussell, who says this year’s theme was ‘Be bold and spread the love’.
“Staying connected with your family, friends and community is so important to us all,” says Danielle. “We are living such busy, hectic lives with so much technology it’s sometimes easy to forget how important it is to talk and see people, face to face, and have a bit of fun together.”
The week included fun activities and challenges as well as a Pink and Red Mufti Day on Thursday 23 February with funds raised going to the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.
