Name released of pedestrian killed in Wellington

At about 8.30pm on Friday 22 August 2008 a pedestrian walking on the rail tracks between Petone and Wellington was struck and fatally injured by a south bound commuter train.
This person has been identified as Te Ahi Kapura Rokopa MANGU, a male, 20 years of age, of Te Awamutu.
Kiwirail and Victim Support have been involved in offering support to the family, Kiwirail staff and 12 passengers.
There are no suspicious circumstances surrounding this death and the matter has been referred to the Coroner.
