Truck crash near Rangipo, 12:05am 31 Oct 2008

Motorist travelling through central North Island are advised that State Highway One (SH1) between Rangipo and Waiouru is closed due to a truck crash on the Three Sisters portion of that road.
The driver suffered only minor injuries.
Motorists travelling South will be diverted onto SH46 at Rangipo and then link onto SH47. A further link with SH49 will bring them back to SH1 at Waiouru.
Motorists travelling North will reverse the process by starting on SH49 at Waiouru.
Heavy haulage equipment is required in order to clear the crash scene, this is expected to take 3 - 6 hours.
Motorists are further advised to drive carefully on routes that they are unfamilar with.
