The Stratford District Youth Council’s recent t-shirt design competition attracted a wide variety of interest through out the community.
A choice of designs was shown in the Stratford Press, with the community encouraged to choose one and text the choice to a Youth Councillor.
All the texts went into a draw to win a free t-shirt, with primary school teacher Lauren Hopkins winning. Lauren says “this design appealed to me as it was simple and effective, the play on words was catchy and funny”.
The winning design features two stick figures. One holds the line that represents the other’s back, with the tagline “we’ve got your back”.
Stratford District Youth Councillor Astyn Buckland says “the design is intended to create a sense of unity among Stratford young people. The Youth Council is always here to encourage Stratford youth.”
The t-shirts have been printed and will be sold at the Stratford A&P show on 29 and 30 November. Selling for $20 each, you can get one at the Stratford District Youth Council tent.
