Location of incident: SH 46/47 west of Turangi
Incident type: Road Fatality
Police are attending a serious road crash, resulting in the death of a young child, West of Turangi.
Shortly after 2pm police were advised of the incident between a Motorcycle and a young child. The incident occurred on State Highway 46, 2 kilomtres North of intersection with State Highway 47.
Police are still to advise next of kin. The motorcyclist has minor injuries.
Serious crash investigators are making their way to the scene. Police would like to hear from any members of the public who may have witnessed the incident.
The road is open and traffic is flowing.
