Police are urgently trying to identify the owner of a blue canoe found floating in the Hutt River near Mill Street at 11.30 this morning.
The canoe was first seen at about 11.30 in the Mill Street area of the Hutt River and has now been pulled ashore by Police. When first seen a pair of shoes and socks were seen floating in the river beside it.
Police are trying to establish who owns the canoe - anyone with any information is asked to contact Police immediately
