Fatal Shooting in Eastern District, 4:00pm

At approximately 10.00am this morning Napier police were called to Waiohiki on the outskirts of Napier where a man had died of gunshot injuries during a family duck shooting expedition. The fata gun shot was not self inflicted.

The deceased is Michael Leslie MEEHAN aged 47 years of age of Napier.

The investigationis continuing and the death has been reported to the Coroner.
