Man missing in Thames coast area

Eastern Waikato Police are appealing for information on sightings of a man missing in the Thames coast area overnight.

John David Oswald, 55, was last seen in the Waikawau area about 10.15pm Friday.

Constable Cathryn Clark of the Whitianga Police said when last seen Mr Oswald was wearing a green cardigan and jeans and officers want to hear from anyone who may have given him a ride, a bed overnight or who has seen him.

"He is about 6 foot in height, of slim build with grey hair and possibly wearing glasses," she said.
