Murder arrest in Titahi Bay homicides

WELLINGTON

Porirua Police have charged a 28 year old local man with two charges of murder and one charge of breaching a Protection Order after the discovery of two women's bodies in a house in Morere Street Titahi Bay on Friday morning.

Detective Inspector Shane Cotter said 'Police are now investigating this matter as a family violence homicide'.

'We are appealing to anyone who saw a man walking between Tawa and Titahi Bay carrying a baseball bat between 6am and 10am on Friday morning to contact the Porirua Police on 04 238 1401'

The man will be appearing in the Porirua District Court on Saturday morning at 9am.
