Op Norse: David Bourke court appearance

David Bourke has appeared in Palmerston North District Court this afternoon and remanded in custody.

During this court appearance Mr Bourke required assistance as a result of an injury.

"Mr Bourke has told police that he injured himself as a result of a fall in a ravine on the night before he was caught" said Central District Commander Superintendent Russell Gibson.

"His injury was assessed and treated when he was taken to hospital following his capture" said Mr Gibson.

Mr Bourke is next due to appear in court on October 21.
