Aggravated Robbery In Henderson

A 19 year old male is appearing in the Waitakere District Court today after the attempted robbery of a pizza delivery worker in Henderson.

Waitakere Police report the offender assaulted and attempted to use a knife during the alleged incident which took place on Wednesday 10 February 2010.

The defendant then carried out an aggravated robbery against a second man. The victim’s car has been stolen at knifepoint. While eluding police the car was involved in a crash on Bruce McLaren Road.

Further charges against the 19 year old defendant of Dangerous Driving, Failing to stop and ascertain injury, and Driving whilst Forbidden, have been introduced as a result of this incident.
